Renee Zelwiger had an Upper Blepharoplasty
There has been a lot of speculation about the new appearance of Renee Zelwiger. She herself, has pretty much avoided any firm answers and simply says that life has been easier and more relaxed, and she is glad that it shows in her face.
However, beyond any shadow of a doubt, she had an upper blepharoplasty to remove excess and drooping skin from her upper eyelids and the plastic surgeon did a great job. The reason she looks so different is that she had very characteristically shaped eyelids with a significant overhang even at a young age in her twenties. When she was young it added to her persona and unique look but with age this type of early overhanging eyelid begins to create problems such as feelings of heaviness and tired eyes and also peripheral vision restrictions. These issues are dealt with by a standard removal of excess eyelid skin surgically called an Upper Blepharoplasty. The results are bright open eyes eliminating a tired, heavy and puffy appearance.
She also seems to have had filler injections in her cheeks to counteract the natural tendency of the cheeks to fall with age, just the fact that they are in the same place after all these years could indicate something was done. These days the filler Voluma is used for long term fullness and elevation of the cheek and malar area, enhancing the “apples of the cheeks”, and lasts up to two years.
So, yes Renee , you still look great, but your surgeon gets equal recognition as your new found relaxation techniques.
