Endoscopic Brow Lift in Miami, Florida
The browlift, also known as a forehead lift, is a plastic surgery procedure that rejuvenates the brow and forehead area by minimizing forehead creases and furrows, frown lines, drooping eyebrows and hooding above the eyes. This is an excellent procedure for anyone with sagging or drooping eyebrows and/or excessive forehead wrinkling. The surgery can be performed with a direct or tricophytic approach via scalp incision or with the endoscopic approach with minimal scar. For most patients today, the endoscopic approach is best.

Clinic Procedure, Local Anesthetic
Dr. Richard Galitz performs the browlift in his office-based surgical suite at Aventura Plastic Surgery of Aventura, Florida, or in a nearby outpatient surgical center. The surgery averages one to two hours in length and will be performed with local anesthesia and oral sedation. For an endoscopic browlift, an average of three to five small incisions are made behind the hairline. A surgical telescope, or endoscope, is then inserted through one of these incisions and used to assist the surgeon as he repositions the forehead and brow area to a higher, more youthful position. Other techniques like the tricophytic and direct approaches involve more extensive incisions and scarring.

Recovery After A Brow Lift Procedure
The recovery after the browlift lasts approximately one to two weeks. During this time, there may be some swelling, bruising, and numbness. Patients may also experience some headaches and other discomfort, particularly around the incisions, which can be treated with mediation. The swelling should fade after one week or so. The stitches are removed after one week, at which time most patients can return to work. Exercise and more strenuous activities can be resumed after two weeks. As with any surgery, there are potential risks or complications associated with the browlift and these may include the risk of hair loss, numbness, and facial nerve injury. Book An Appointment
